The Institute of Integration of Former Political Victims (IIPP) designs programs and develops policies for the integration of former political victims of the communist regime in the social life of the country in accordance with the program of the Government of the Republic of Albania.
The IIPP is a budgetary institution that depends on the Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth (MMSR), with funds that are distributed according to activity and organization.
The IIPP elaborates and deals with the basic issues related to the former political persecuted by the communist regime, in cooperation with the national associations of the former political persecuted, which have scope throughout Albania.
In cooperation with other state institutions and associations of former political victims, appropriate measures are taken and programs are built to realize all the rights of former political victims from the communist regime in accordance with Law no. 7748 dated 29.07.1993, “On the Status of Former Convicts and Political Persecuted by the Communist System”, originating from Law no. 7514 dated 30.09.1991 “On Innocence, amnesty and rehabilitation of ex-convicts and political persecuted”, as well as Law no. 9831 dated 12.11.2007 “For Compensation of Former Political Victims from the Communist Regime”.
